The Fund SMD initiative is intended to grant honor loans without interests and without guarantees, by ensuring the individual accompaniment and the sponsoring of the beneficiaries. The promoters of the Fund are the Souss Massa Drâa Regional Council and the SMD initiative association. Its objective is to help the entrepreneurship in sectors considered carrier for the region

Souss Massa Draa Initiative (SMDI) is an association created in 2007 by the proposal of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, through the initiative of the regional council of Souss Massa Draa and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and with the technical support and the accompaniment of the French Federation of Associations of honor loan called France Initiative. The association manages a fund of 4 million dirhams and aims to raise the fund to 10 million dirhams in 2013.

The Souss Massa Drâa Initiative association chose the formula of the «honor loans without interest" to support the entrepreneurship in the region.
To benefit from this fund, it is necessary to create a company in the region of Souss Massa Draa and to be Moroccan 55-year-old at most. Amounts granted by SMD Initiative go from 10.000 DH for a minimum to 100.000 DH at most and can represent about 50 % of the global investment required by the project.
