The Region Souss Massa Drâa as institution was created in 1997 within the framework of the decentralization engaged by the Kingdom of Morocco since 1990.
The Regional Council is the administrative reference structure for all which concerns the regional economic and social development. At the same time as the actions organized by the council, it aspires to play the role of catalyst of the individual initiatives, leaning in particular on the motivated dynamism and the investments of the civil society.
